SCENTLÉ places fragrance vending machines in businesses across the Greater Toronto Area. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it.

Who we are

SCENTLÉ is a sole proprietorship operating in Ontario, Canada. We are the party responsible for the information described in this policy.

What we collect

We only collect information you give us directly. Depending on how you contact us, that may include:

• Your name and business name
• Your phone number and email address
• Details about your business that you choose to share, such as the type of business you run, how many locations you have, and your approximate daily customer traffic

If you contact us through a form on Facebook or Instagram, some of these fields may be filled in automatically from your profile. You can edit or clear them before submitting.

We do not collect payment card numbers, government identification, or any sensitive personal information through our website or our ads.

Why we collect it

We use your information for one purpose: to contact you about SCENTLÉ and to discuss placing a machine at your business. Concretely, that means calling, texting or emailing you to follow up on your inquiry, answer questions, arrange a site visit, and provide a quote.

We do not use your information to build advertising profiles, and we do not send unrelated marketing.

Who we share it with

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to anyone.

We share it only with the service providers we use to run the business, and only to the extent they need it to provide that service. These currently include our website form provider, our email provider, and Meta Platforms where you submitted a form through Facebook or Instagram. We may also disclose information where we are required to by law.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiry information for as long as we are in active contact with you, and for up to two years afterward in case you get back in touch. If you become a customer, we keep records for as long as needed to service the machine and to meet our tax and record-keeping obligations. You can ask us to delete your information sooner at any time.

How we protect it

Your information is stored in password-protected accounts with the providers listed above. Access is limited to the owner of SCENTLÉ. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you give us.

Your rights

Under Canadian privacy law you may:

• Ask what personal information we hold about you
• Ask us to correct anything inaccurate
• Ask us to delete your information
• Withdraw your consent and ask us to stop contacting you

Email us and we will action your request. We will not ask you for a reason, and there is no cost.

Stopping contact

Reply STOP to any text, or tell us by phone or email, and we will remove you from our contact list. We will confirm once it is done.

Children

Our services are sold to businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
